Image Enhancement and Christianity

Tell me. From a Christian perspective, is it wrong to love image enhancement? For example, I am fascinated with giving everyone Angelina lips. Here’s an image that I “enhanced” for my website this weekend:

Photoshopped Model

It’s not that I don’t like the way that people look naturally. I mean… a little gaussian blur would do us all some good, don’t get me wrong (Sorry photoshop humor). I love the way that people look including myself- unedited. I consider it art to change their look into something more polished. Sort of like playing with makeup, hair color, and a small amount of plastic surgery. I don’t know if it’s wrong. If it is, God will have to work on me because I love it.

  1. Missed seeing you today! We are having a single’s get together on Feb. 28th at Ross Wyatt’s house at 5:30. I hope you can make it!

    Love you!

P.S. My two cents is that beauty is fleeting and charm is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised. I definitely would not say it is “sinful” to have plastic surgery per se, it’s just a matter of the motivation/position of one’s heart. I think we all struggle with a certain amount of vanity, especially in the Western world culture. Just my thoughts!
